Fewer people are consuming soft drinks than a decade ago, data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics reveals.

One-in-four kids consume sweetened drinks, marking a significant drop from nearly three-in-four children in 1995, according to an ABS report .

Almost half of all Australians consumed sugary drinks in 1995.

This dropped to 42.2 per cent in 2011-2012, but has now plummeted to less than 30 per cent, the ABS says.
