Nothing is more autumnal than heading to the countryside and embarking on a walk, before rounding it off with a visit to a cosy pub.

In fact searches for ‘England countryside cottage’ have spiked on the photo-sharing platform Pinterest, while Google searches for popular countryside locations such as the Cotsworlds and the Peak District have risen in the last month.

With that in mind new research has found the best countryside locations for this autumn - and the Peak District has been named in the top ten.

Travel booking platform Omio shared a list of the best UK countryside locations for Autumn getaways using weather data.
