A senior Reform UK official was left floundering on live TV as he was reminded about what Nigel Farage used to say about his party’s latest recruit.
Former Tory cabinet minister Nadine Dorries announced on Thursday night that she was joining Reform and declared that her old party “is dead”.
But a tweet by Farage in 2022 condemning Dorries for defending then prime minister Boris Johnson quickly emerged.
In it, he said: “I had the misfortune of watching and listening to Nadine Dorries this morning. If she is the PM’s defence then he really is a goner.”
