Gov. Wes Moore and Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott will join residents in Park Heights Friday evening for a community walk and press conference to discuss and highlight the city’s progress in reducing crime.
The event starts at 5 p.m. at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, located on Pimlico Road.
Baltimore Police Commissioner Richard Worley and Maryland State Police Superintendent Col. Roland L. Butler, Jr. will also be in attendance.
The walk is part of ongoing efforts to connect with residents and build on what officials call historic progress in cutting violence across the city, especially in the ongoing saga between President Donald Trump, Moore and the city of Baltimore.
This report will be updated.
