Endico Potatoes of Mount Vernon, New York, recalled frozen vegetables because of potential contamination by Listeria, according to the company.
Listeria monocytogenes is "an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people and others with weakened immune systems," the recall announcement posted to the Food and Drug Administration's website stated.
