TOLEDO, Ohio — Community members will go "over the edge" this weekend in support of those battling cancer, as participants rappel down a 16-story building in downtown Toledo to raise funds for The Victory Center.

The annual event, held at Levis Square Park off of Madison Avenue, kicks off Friday evening with a VIP launch party and will continue Saturday at 10 a.m. with the main rappelling event.

The daring feat is meant to symbolize the courage it takes to face cancer.

Kimberly Rosinski, special events manager for The Victory Center, said the event is the result of months of planning and strong community support.
