GREENVILLE, Texas — A North Texas middle school teacher's aide is accused of injuring a student who has autism, according to an arrest warrant affidavit obtained by WFAA.
Lakenya Dwynette Harris, 53, was arrested this week on a charge of injury to a child, according to the affidavit.
Harris resigned from her job at Greenville Middle School after her arrest, district officials said in a release.
Harris is accused of using vulgar language toward a student and then forcefully trying to pick the student up before slapping him multiple times, the affidavit said. Police reviewed surveillance video of the alleged incidents and detailed what they saw in the affidavit.
