WASHINGTON — Two 17-year-old boys were arrested Friday morning for shooting and killing congressional intern Eric Tarpinian-Jachym , U.S. Attorney for D.C. Jeanine Pirro announced.

Jalen Lucas and Kelvin Thomas Jr., both 17, are being charged as adults with first-degree murder while armed. Pirro said both teens have prior violent crimes on their records. There is a third teenage suspect, Pirro said, that has not yet been arrested. Lucas is from Northwest D.C. and Thomas is from Southeast D.C.

"It's bad enough to be gunned down on any street," said Pirro. "To be gunned down in our nation's capital is an outrage. He was an innocent bystander who was caught in a violent attack that was not meant for him."
