Jenkins Quality Barbeque said Saturday that all of its online sauce orders are being paused due to high demand.

The business said on its Facebook page that it was grateful for the community’s response after it announced that it was closing all of its stores by the end of September.

Lines down the street, parking lots full, and extended wait times for those ribs smothered in the special mustard-based sauce were the scene on Wednesday at the downtown Jenkins Quality Barbecue location.

Jacksonville residents were determined not to miss out on their last plate, featuring the main item on the menu: the sauce.
