Florida Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladapo announced Wednesday the state will move to eliminate all vaccine requirements for children to attend public schools ( “Florida plans to become first state to eliminate all childhood vaccine mandates,” Sept. 3). That means Florida children will no longer need to get vaccinated against measles, polio, mumps or chickenpox.

Speaking about vaccine mandates on Wednesday, Ladapo said: “Your body is a gift from God. What you put into your body is because of your relationship with your body and God.”

Meanwhile, the state is buying robotic rabbits at $4,000 a pop in an effort to eradicate pythons in the Everglades. The Marx brothers told us the place was cocoanuts back in 1929.
