ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WSPA) -- An Asheville woman is behind bars for a slew of charges, including financial card theft.

The Asheville Police Department arrested 34-year-old Jessica Breanne Awalt on Thursday, charging her with multiple felonies, including financial card theft and possession of cocaine, following a breaking & entering incident in the River Arts District.

Officers responded to a reported larceny involving financial cards from a residential storage unit on Roberts Street. The investigation revealed that a safe containing financial cards and documents had been stolen, and the cards were subsequently used at several nearby businesses.

Security footage captured the suspect using one of the stolen cards at a convenience store on Depot Street.
