A new mural in downtown Wetumpka honors Coca-Cola and brings back a cherished piece of the city’s history.

The mural, which features the Coca-Cola script logo, is a tribute to days gone by, when such advertising murals on the sides of buildings were common in towns across the South.

A ribbon-cutting was held for the mural yesterday at 100 Company Street.

Main Street Wetumpka, in partnership with the Coca-Cola United Bottling Company, brought this piece of history back to life.

The mural will bring back memories for those who remember its original form and creates a sense of nostalgia and pride for the entire community.
