GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. — Guilford County is considering a $1,164,760 economic development grant for Project McKinley, which plans to invest more than $77 million in its Rock Creek Industrial Park facility and create 420 new jobs by the end of 2027.

The Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing at 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 18 in the Commissioners’ Meeting Room on the second floor of the Old County Courthouse, 301 W. Market St., Greensboro, to gather input on the proposed incentive.

If approved, the county would fund the grant from its General Fund. The board said the project is expected to boost the local economy, stabilize jobs, and attract additional investment.
