With no winners on Wednesday, the Powerball jackpot has again increased and is now the second-largest prize in lottery history.

At $1.8 billion, with an estimated cash value of $826.4 million, the jackpot is also the second-largest prize in Powerball history — just behind one larger jackpot of $2.04 billion, which was won in 2022.

The next drawing for the $1.8 billion jackpot will be held on Saturday.

The Powerball jackpot prize inched up to $1.7 billion on Thursday, when it was the third-largest prize in Powerball history.

The Powerball jackpot has not been hit all summer, with the last $204.5 million jackpot prize won on May 31 in California.

Drawings are streamed live on Powerball.com and the game’s YouTube channel. They are not broadcast on live TV in Massachusetts.
