Suggestion box: As Ohio lawmakers prepare to start another round of congressional redistricting this fall, they’re asking the public to create and submit their own maps of what the state’s 15 U.S. House districts should look like. But as Jeremy Pelzer writes , lawmakers are soliciting public input because the Ohio Constitution requires them to, and there’s no sign that they or other state leaders involved in the redistricting process will pay attention to the public’s redistricting proposals any more than they have in the last two redistricting cycles.
