Former Gov. Andrew Cuomo met with the Rev. Al Sharpton on Friday morning in an apparent attempt to court him for an endorsement — as speculation swirls around Mayor Eric Adams potentially dropping out of the race, The Post has learned.

Cuomo requested the Regency Hotel breakfast sit-down and asked Sharpton to “have an open mind” if the race gets winnowed to a one-on-one matchup between the ex-gov and socialist Democratic mayoral nominee Zohran Mamdani, the reverend said.

“I’m very impressed with Mamdani but I’ve known Andrew for 40 years, going back to the ’80s with his father,” ex-Gov. Mario Cuomo, Sharpton told The Post.
