SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — Some sections of the Spokane River are dried out, according to the Spokane Riverkeeper.

The Spokane Riverkeeper posted photos showing a dried-out section of the river from Barker Road to Sullivan Road in Spokane Valley on Monday morning, citing record-low flows as a factor for the dried-out sections of the river.

The Spokane Riverkeeper said in a press release that the dewatered sections of the river threaten fish, wildlife and critical river habitats.

"Without water, aquatic life is at immediate risk, habitats are lost, and water quality is severely compromised," the press release reads.
