WESTBROOK, Conn. (WTNH) — At least two people are dead after crashes on Interstate 95 in Westbrook on Friday, according to sources.

Interstate 95 North remains closed between exits 64 and 65, and Interstate 95 South is closed between exits 66 and 64.

State police said a flatbed tractor-trailer carrying plywood was traveling northbound around 7:45 a.m. when plywood flew all over both sides of the interstate. As a result, at least three passenger vehicles on the southbound side crashed. Serious injuries have been reported, according to state police, but the extent was not immediately known.

The second crash, involving a tractor-trailer and a car, occurred around 9:30 a.m. in front of the Troop F State Police barracks on the southbound side. State police said this crash also resulted in se
