MISSOULA — At long last, the Montana football season is finally here.
After not playing in Week 1, the Grizzlies will be the last NCAA Division I team, excluding the Ivy League, to kick off their season when they host D-II Central Washington at 6 p.m. Saturday in Washington-Grizzly Stadium.
It'll be the first chance to see how the revamped roster performs in a game. The Griz returned 56 players from last year, only 12 of whom have started a game in a Montana uniform. They brought in 52 newcomers and have 70 players on their 108-man roster who have never played a snap for the Griz.
