A mini cooldown is on the way to Houston next week.
I call it “mini,” because daytime temperatures remain summer-like, but morning temperatures are where we will notice it the most.
Instead of waking up to the upper 70s and 80s, we could have temperatures in the mid- to upper 60s across SE Texas.
Houston hasn’t seen morning temperatures in the 60s since May!
Why the change?
Behind this weekend’s cold front, cooler and slightly drier air moves in. Houston will begin to notice the temperature and decrease in humidity on late Monday into Tuesday morning.
Don’t pull out the boots with the fur just yet. We need a much stronger cold front to keep the temperatures less humid and cooler longer and drop daytime highs.
