NEWBURGH – Police in Newburgh are looking for a man who they say broke into a house at 10 Washington Place in the city at 2 p.m. on Thursday. That residence is right in front of the police headquarters.

A neighbor spotted the man with a black mask enter the house through a window that he broke in the rear of the home.

The perpetrator was gone when police responded to the scene.

Detectives are investigating and asking anyone with information to call them at 845-569-7519.
