ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A St. Louis man was sentenced to 15 years in prison Thursday after pleading guilty to charges related to two different crimes.
The St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office said James Brown, 26, pleaded guilty to a second-degree murder charge related to a Sep. 2020 homicide in the Mount Pleasant neighborhood.
The office said Brown and another person got into an altercation with a bicyclist at a gas station on Salisbury Street before shooting them. Court documents show Brown originally told investigators he was just driving the car involved in the shooting, but later admitted to also firing shots.
Brown was also charged for a Dec. 2023 incident where prosecutors said he threatened a group of people with a gun in the 1400 block of Granville Place in the Hamilton
