LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders was joined at a press conference on Friday by the FCC chairman and other local elected officials to unveil an FCC plan allowing prisons to jam phones.
Gov. Sanders was part of a roundtable press conference on Friday where she was joined by Sen. Tom Cotton, Attorney General Tim Griffin, and FCC Chairman Brendan Carr to discuss the new plan which they said will allow "prisons to combat contraband cellphones."
"“Public safety is government’s first priority, and the evidence clearly shows that contraband cell phones pose a direct threat to Arkansans’ security," Gov. Sanders said.
