Following the shutdown Friday of morning service on BART, the agency announced at 9:30 a.m. that some East Bay lines would soon begin limited operations but stopped short of saying when any transbay services would resume.
The lines restarting are the yellow line from Antioch to 12th Street Oakland, the blue line from Dublin/Pleasanton to MacArthur, and the orange line from Berryessa/North San Jose to Richmond. There is no BART service in San Francisco or on the Peninsula.
Starting at 4:30 a.m., issues arose with computer equipment following overnight upgrades and prevented the start of morning service, said BART chief spokesperson Alicia Trost.
