HUBBARD TWP., Ohio - A former police chief is suing Hubbard Township and two trustees claiming they tried to wrongfully cancel his health insurance and conspired to push him out of the job.
The civil suit filed on Thursday by former Hubbard Township Police Chief Ronald Fusco states he was "retaliated" and "discriminated" against.
The suit claims while Fusco was out on medical leave in 2024, Trustee Bill Colletta tried to cancel his health insurance. Documents claim it was a retaliation tactic after Fusco complained that Colletta was trying to intimidate officers by telling them he will end their careers if they resign from the township.
