VANCOUVER, Wash. (KPTV) - A teenager fired multiple rounds after being confronted for car prowling near a high school in Vancouver early Friday morning, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.
Just before 12:30 a.m., deputies responded to Heritage High School at 7825 NE 130th Avenue after reports of gunfire and a female screaming for help. Deputies heard more gunfire while they were on scene investigating.
The sheriff’s office said deputies could see a suspect running through the baseball and softball fields at the high school. The suspect reportedly jumped fences and ran out of sight.
During the search for the suspect, deputies found a victim at a home in the 8000 block of NE 136th Avenue.
