Police in Portugal say 11 of the 16 people killed when a funicular railway derailed were foreigners, as an initial investigative report examining what caused the popular Lisbon tourist attraction to crash was delayed by a day.
The dead included five Portuguese citizens, three Britons, two South Koreans, two Canadians and one from each of France, Switzerland, Ukraine and the United States.
A German man also thought to have died in Wednesday's crash was found to be in a Lisbon hospital, police said.
The parents of the man, who had travelled from Germany, were initially asked to identify the body of a man who was believed to be German.
When the parents stated that the man was not their son, a DNA test was carried out which confirmed this, police said.
