The Hip-Hop community took a major blow after Rich Homie Quan unexpectedly left this world way too soon.

On September 5, 2024, the respected hitmaker was found dead in his home after he reportedly overdosed on fentanyl and other drugs. The Fulton County Medical Examiner in Georgia said the rapper, born Dequantes Lamar, had a deadly mix of fentanyl, alprazolam, codeine and promethazine in his system when he died. The medical examiner also found THC in his body, but the marijuana didn't contribute to his demise. His death was ruled as an accidental overdose. He was only 34.
