TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The Twin Falls Animal Shelter is looking to expand its facilities.

“We have been overcrowded for the last two years. It’s been really crazy,” said Debra Blackwood, the Director of Twin Falls Animal Shelter.

The plans to expand the facilities are still in the work, and they come at a much needed time.

Right now, the biggest concern is there’s not enough space, which is why they’re looking to improve their housing situation.

“Our strategies are to help animals stay in their home and find other alternatives so we don’t just have to keep building a bigger building. But we want to improve the quality of life primarily, not for all animals, but for our cats. We need to move them out of this crowded garage situation and into their own complex,” Blackwood expres
