A new jury trial date for the father of the suspected Apalachee High School shooter has been scheduled in Barrow County Superior Court.

In a ruling filed this week, Piedmont Circuit Superior Court Judge Nicholas Primm set a date of Feb. 9 for the trial of Colin Gray, the father of Colt Gray, who faces murder and aggravated assault charges in the slayings of four and assaults on nine others at Apalachee High School on Sept. 4, 2024.

Colin Gray faces two counts of second-degree murder, 20 counts of second-degree cruelty to children, two counts of involuntary manslaughter, and five counts of reckless conduct. Gray was originally set for trial this month, but the trial was delayed after a defense attorney had a conflict for that date in another court.
