OLDHAM COUNTY, Ky. —

A man is dead and a woman is injured following a crash in Oldham County Friday morning.

The Oldham County Police Department said officers were dispatched to the 2800 block of N Hwy 1694 just before 8 a.m. about a crash.

Police said a woman was heading north when she lost control and hit a tree on the side of the road.

The woman was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Her passenger, 46-year-old Roberto Mencia, died at the scene. They are both from Louisville, according to police.

Oldham County police are continuing to investigate the crash.

They are asking anyone who might have information about the crash to call them at 502-222-1300.
