NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — The first human case of West Nile virus in Connecticut this season has been reported, health officials announced on Friday.
The patient is a man in his 40s, according to the Connecticut Department of Public Health. He was exposed in Fairfield County.
Health officials said he became ill during the third week of August, was hospitalized and has since recovered.
