Michael McGreevy did something only few Cardinals starters have done since the turn of the century. Whether that's an achievement or cause for concern is open to interpretation.
McGreevy starts Friday at 7:15 p.m. as the Cardinals welcome the red-hot Giants to open a three-game series at Busch Stadium.
In his last outing, the right-hander McGreevy (6-2, 4.17 ERA) went six innings, allowing one run without recording a strikeout while picking up the win.
Since 2000, only five other Cardinals starters have matched that line without striking anyone out and earning a win. Coincidentally, Miles Mikolas did it three days later. Mikolas is the only starter to do so twice in that time.
The others to do so since 2000: Dustin Hermanson, Kyle Lohse, Jason Simontacci and Jake Westbrook.
