An Abbotsford couple who own a chain of Smart Wireless/Bell Mobility locations in the Fraser Valley has raised more than $600,000 for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) over the years.

Paul and Sharan Narang are now preparing to host their 16th annual fundraiser on Saturday, Oct. 25 at the Westfield Country Club in Surrey. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for the adults-only event.

JDRF was recently rebranded as Breatkthrough T1D – to better reflect people of all ages who are impacted by the disease – which is funding world-class research at the Centre of Excellence at the University of B.C.

The Narangs first decided to host a small fundrasier for the JDRF in 2008 when they were in their first year in business.
