007 First Light has the potential to be one of 2026's best games. More importantly, it could end up being one of the best Bond games, if not the best Bond media altogether. That may be a bit blasphemous for diehard Bond -heads - I'm partial to the Roger Moore era - but from everything we've seen, it is hard not to get a little giddy. Even if it doesn't end up as the best piece of Bond media, 007 First Light certainly sounds and looks the part, enough so that it'll undoubtedly be a triumph for fans.
However, as great as 007 First Light's gameplay looks, there is a major issue that it must first overcome, something inherently baked into its DNA . For all the shaken but not stirred martinis, Aston Martins, and Walther PPKs in the game, if 007 First Light doesn't address
