During his regular Friday radio appearance, Jays manager John Schneider told Blair and Barker on Sportsnet that Scherzer, who was originally slated to pitch on Saturday against the Yankees, will be pushed back to Sunday. The flip-flop of the rotation will have Chris Bassitt get the call on Saturday.
