JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) — East Tennessee State University (ETSU) tight end Charlie Browder is set to play at Neyland Stadium this Saturday, a familiar venue for the Kingsport native who grew up watching the Tennessee Volunteers and spent three seasons with them.
Browder, who previously practiced against the Volunteers' top-ranked defense, is excited to face the challenge of playing in front of the loud Knoxville crowd.
"Since I've been here, everybody's always asked about Tennessee," Browder said. "And I said, 'Well, I've got to focus on Murray State first.' So I guess now it's time to focus on that team from Knoxville."
Browder has firsthand experience with Neyland Stadium's intense atmosphere, having witnessed the record-breaking decibel game against Georgia.
"I've seen Neyland at
