Created in 2023, the Canadian Peace Museum is a charity planning to open a museum in the former North Hastings Community Trust building southwest of downtown, just off of Highway 28. The facility is now in the design phase, museum executive director Chris Houston wrote via e-mail. Article content

“We are inviting people of all generations to submit art and videos about the meaning of peace,” Houston wrote.

Entrants must answer the question, “What does peace mean to you?”

The deadline is Sept. 19.
