A western Pennsylvania woman who reported her adopted 9-year-old daughter missing has been charged with homicide after other children in the home told police they witnessed her kill the girl, according to news reports.

Pennsylvania State Police around 4 a.m. Thursday found the body of Renesmay Eutsey in the Youghiogheny River near Smithton, about 20 miles away from the girl’s home in Dunbar.

Kourtney Eutsey, 31, who, according to WTAE , was the girl’s adoptive mother, lived in the home with another woman, Sarah Shipley, and three other children, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette said.

The Post-Gazette reported Eutsey is the girl’s foster mother.
