OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Born in 1927, Willis Rozelle Hall spent his life serving.
“He was a lifer”
He served in the Air Force as a tele-communications, service and typography specialist, and was briefly stationed at Offutt Air Force base. Willis had previously served in the Kansas Air National Guard, the Army, the Merchant Marines in addition to another service period with the Air Force.
His son Steve Hall remembers him fondly.
“He taught me a lot of things. He taught me how to work on cars, and working on engines and tearing motors apart and putting them back together,” says Steve.
Steve followed in his father’s footsteps in service, spending time in the Navy.
