DECATUR, Ala. (WHNT) — “I wanted this song to feel honest, raw, and resonant,” Lamont Landers, a Decatur native, said as he released his new single, “America”.

“It’s a piece of who I am, and I hope it connects with people on a personal level.”

The track, layered with grooves, handclaps, and church organ tones, offers what Landers calls “a snapshot of life in the modern world, the frustration, the reflection, and the resilience.”

In “America”, Landers doesn't hold back his feelings:
