That’s how many trips Boston College made to the end zone in a 66-10 season-opening win against Fordham last week. An FCS program that posted a 2-10 record last year obviously didn’t present much of a threat.

“We ain’t really do nothing last week,” Boston College defensive back Carter Davis said. “No offense to them but we’ve got a way bigger test every week from now on.”

The road ahead starts on the road when Boston College (1-0) plays at Michigan State (1-0) on Saturday (7:30 p.m., NBC) in a Big Ten vs. ACC matchup. It’s a rematch of a 23-19 victory for the Eagles last season on their home field.

“It’s a big-time test,” Boston College coach Bill O’Brien said, “they’ve got a hell of a team. … Really a great opportunity and hopefully they embrace it.”
