AUSTIN (KXAN) — After an opening week loss to Prosper, the Westlake Chaparrals tumbled down the Dave Campbell's Texas Football 6A poll, but look to get back on track with a long road trip to the Rio Grande Valley.

The No. 15 Chaps take on San Benito at 7 p.m. from Bobby Morrow Stadium in San Benito, and if history is any indication, Westlake should be in good shape against the Greyhounds. The Chaps have defeated the Greyhounds by a combined score of 107-14 in their last two meetings, in Week 2 of last season and the third round of the playoffs in 2022.

Chaps quarterback Rees Wise went 12-for-22 with 158 yards and two interceptions in the 29-22 loss to Prosper at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton last week, but he added a rushing touchdown and 42 yards on the ground. Sophomor
