Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark will miss the remainder of the WNBA season due to ongoing injury concerns, the team announced Thursday.

The 23-year-old rookie, who has been sidelined since July 15 with a right groin injury, later developed a bone bruise during her recovery process. Clark had been a significant contributor to the Fever’s success this season, averaging 16.5 points, 8.8 assists, and 5 rebounds in 13 games before her injury occurred during an 85-77 victory over the Connecticut Sun.

“I had hoped to share a better update, but I will not be returning to play this season,” Clark wrote in a post to X . “I spent hours in the gym every day with the singular goal of getting back out there; disappointed isn’t a big enough word to describe how I am feeling.”
