WATERBURY, Conn. (WTNH) — The attorney for Kimberly Sullivan, the woman accused of holding her stepson captive for more than 20 years, have filed two motions in her case, according to a release.
Sullivan's court date was rescheduled to Oct. 3.
The two motions are as follows: • Motion to modify protective order: Would allow Sullivan to return to her home to retrieve her items • Motion to modify conditions of release: Would remove the GPS bracelet monitoring Sullivan currently has
"These motions are not requests for special treatment, but fundamental assertions of Ms. Sullivan's rights under the U.S. Constitution," Ioannis Kaloidis, the attorney representing Sullivan, said in the release.
