The New England Patriots worked out free agents Zach Davidson, Marshall Lang and Cole Turner on Friday, according to the NFL transaction wire.
Davidson, 27, entered the league with the Minnesota Vikings in the fifth round of the 2021 draft at No. 168 overall. The former Division II All-American out of Central Missouri spent the past three years with the Buffalo Bills and was released at the 53-man roster deadline. Last campaign, Davidson appeared in two games as a standard elevation from the practice squad for the AFC East champions. The 6-foot-7, 251-pound tight end caught his first career pass while seeing 42 snaps on offense and 26 snaps on special teams.
