Ten years ago, Brash and Hello Sanctos completed a grand prix hat-trick to win the Grand Slam title. Now the Scottish rider is eyeing another triumph at Spruce Meadows.
Interesting what the mind will recollect on a day that changed show jumping history.
“It’s funny the things that stick out in your head,” admitted Scott Brash. “For example, I remember coming to (jump) Number 1, and the crowd were all up, you could hear a pin drop. I remember cantering up to Number 1 and a little girl ran down the bank. I noticed it. It was strange, I still remember that.
“It was incredible. I remember that eerie sort of cool feeling.”
