LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) -- A local woman is using creativity and compassion to make a difference for victims of gun violence in Minnesota.
Jasmyn McJames, a Holt resident and owner of The Main Drag Print Shop, launched a campaign called “She Ran Barefoot” after being moved by a powerful photo online. The image depicted a mother sprinting barefoot in the street, desperate to reach her child following a shooting. Inspired by the moment, McJames decided to tie-dye shirts with the phrase “She Ran Barefoot,” selling them to raise funds for gun safety organizations.
“The whole entire point of creating the t-shirt for ‘She Ran Barefoot’ is to promote sales for a donation to Moms Demand Action,” McJames said. Each shirt is carefully dyed and printed, with proceeds going directly to the Minnesota b
