A state judicial panel publicly admonished Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Enrique Monguia for threatening to shoot people in his courtroom.

The judge made other inappropriate remarks, including suggesting one woman would raise a “meth baby” and labeling a prospective juror a “hot mess.”

Monguia acknowledged wrongdoing and expressed remorse.
