For two months, drivers have snaked through roadblocks and sat in stalled traffic on South Claiborne Avenue in Central City as contractors continue work on a $39.6 million green infrastructure project set to upgrade the city's drainage system.
Though work on the project is nearly halfway complete, according to city spokesperson Lesley Thomas, drivers will see additional lane closures along the main thoroughfare starting Monday. But thankfully, residents can finally expect to see some relief from the extensive roadwork this fall.
